Photo Restoration

Photo restoration fees include scanning, restoration services, a proof for approval, one print on archival quality paper, and one Photo Preservation CD of the original and restored photos(s).

Standard Restoration: $49/photo
For photos with fading, discoloration, scratches, folds, stains and simple tears.

Complex Restoration: $70/photo
For photos with extensive tears, missing parts, damage involving face or hands.

Scan and Print: $22/photo
This is an option if you are not ready to restore the photo but you want to prevent further degradation of the photo. The photo is scanned, sharpened and printed as-is on archival photo paper. No restoration of scratches, stains, tonality, color or damaged parts is performed. A Preservation Photo CD is included in the price. Your photo is preserved and prepared for restoration when you are ready.

Colorization

This is the process of adding or subtracting color from the photo. Colorization is great for portraits. This customized option includes scanning the original photo, restoration services, colorization, a proof for approval, one print on archival quality paper and one Photo Preservation CD of the original and colorized photos. Fee: $49-$70 Restoration fee depending on level of restoration needed plus $20 Colorization fee.

Optional Special Effects

Text: Add the names of the people to the photo so they will never be lost.
Different fonts and text sizes are available to choose from. No charge

Vignette: Add a vignette, the old fashioned technique that creates an oval to focus your eye on the subject while fogging the corners of the photo. Ideal for photos of individuals and couples. No charge

Photo surgery: People or objects may be added or removed from the photo. Ask for quote

Retouching: Physical appearance can be altered, such as diminishing wrinkles, whitening teeth, gaining or losing weight. Ask for quote

Prints

At Generations Photo Rescue we think the quality of the print is as important as the quality of the digital restoration. We use only high permanence inks and archival quality photo and art papers. These are much higher grade papers than found in most photo kiosks and quick turnaround photos stores. There are a wide variety of papers suited for restored photos, with matte or luster finishes. Let us select the paper that best displays your photo. While each restoration comes with one print, extra prints may be ordered:
